Welcome to the Prevention and Early Access Program for Seniors!
In November 2004, California voters passed Proposition 63, known as the Mental Health Services Act or MHSA. MHSA imposes a 1% income tax on personal income in excess of $1 million. MHSA addresses a broad continuum of prevention, early intervention and service needs and the necessary infrastructure, technology and training elements that will effectively support this system.
The Area Agency on Aging has been selected to serve adults 60 and older throughout Solano County by providing Gatekeeper training, Navigator services, and Health Care Provider Education. The program is designed to educate the community about opportunities on behalf of seniors that could be at risk of a crisis, which could lead to mental health challenges.
